Meet Pastor Nathan Reed and Family
Pastor Reed has been a full time local pastor in the Michigan Conference
of the United Methodist Church since 2011. His first appointment was in Michigan's
beautiful Upper Peninsula where he faithfully served a two point charge
in Iron County that included the Christ UMC in Crystal Falls, MI
and the Grace UMC in Amasa, MI from 2011-2015. Pastor Reed's
second appointment was a single point large in Midland County
at Faith UMC located in Coleman, MI from 2015-2019.
He currently serves a three point charge in Baraga
and Houghton Counties that include the L'Anse, Sidney,
and Zeba Indian Mission UMCs.
Pastor Nate was born in Manistique, Michigan and
has lived in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin
for the majority of his life. He is an avid
outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.
Pastor Nathan Reed completed the Licence to Preach
School in the West Ohio Conference in 2010. He later
finished the Basic Course of Study in July of 2017.
He received his theological training at Garrett Evangelical
Seminary in Evanston, IL, United Theological Seminary
in Dayton, OH and the Methodist Theological School
in Delaware, OH.
Pastor Reed has a passion for bringing the good news of
Jesus Christ into small town and rural ministry settings.
He enjoys engaging with the larger community and building
relationships with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
Pastor Nate's life and ministry have been enriched in having
his wife and best friend, Terri walking this path of faith with him.
The Reed family has also been further blessed with two children
Amilia (13) and Wesley (10).
